Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain Companion App is game utility software made as a companion to your copy of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. MGS V: The Phantom Pain is an action-adventure video game by Hideo Kojima and Konami. This companion app can be used in conjunction with the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One versions of the game. It allows you to use the iDROID mode as a navigational system and support terminal when you link it and the main game together. Users must note, however, that the process of linking requiring Wi-Fi connection. With it as a support terminal, you can display maps and call support helicopters while playing the console version of the main game. You can also listen to the main game’s soundtrack outside of playing. Other than that, though, it’s not necessary to have when playing the main game.
